England in the early 15th century. Young Prince Hal is the heir to King Henry IV, a good-natured and cheerful young man who spends most of his time socializing with the alcoholic, lying and debauched, but always eager for fun, Sir John Falstaff.

They are regular guests at the Mistress Quickly's tavern, where they have fun with streams of alcohol and the company of attractive girls. King Henry IV makes all his decisions within the walls of his castle, where, after suppressing a rebellion in 1408, he concludes that his son Hal, due to his dissolute life, is not worthy of the crown of the English ruler. However, participating in the Battle of Shrewsbury, Hal will begin to change and gradually understand his obligations to his father and the kingdom. And when, after his father's death, he ascends the throne as King Henry V, Hal will break off his friendship with Falstaff...
