A couple deals with the aftermath of an adoption that goes awry as their household falls apart.

Free-spirited Emma is a ruthless, stubborn and fiercely talented young dancer and teacher. Her insatiable passion lies in the sexy reggaeton music she and her friends dance on the city streets; she created a career as part of an experimental modern ensemble supervised by her husband, the demanding choreographer Gastón. The couple is in crisis: they have just returned their adopted 12-year-old son Paul back to social services after a troubled boy set fire to their home and injured Emina’s sister. The couple’s agony decision turns their marriage into chaos, but haunted by guilt Emma refuses to let him go and embarks on a strange, secret and fearless quest to reunite her family.
