ON THE OCCASION OF THE OPENING OF THE MUSEUM OF II PALACES: Beuys

Germany 107 min.

Joseph Beuys, a man with a hat, felt and grease. Thirty years after his death it is clear that he was a visionary ahead of his time.

He was the first German artist to be granted a solo exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, while at home in Germany his work was ridiculed with the words "the most expensive garbage of all time". He was once asked if he was indifferent to these comments, to which he replied: "Yes, I want to expand human perception."
