The first film in the iconic Star Wars series is one of the greatest achievements in science fiction cinema and the fourth chapter in the Skywalker saga.

Set in a distant galaxy, it is a time of civil war, where the rebels have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire, believing it to be only the beginning. Many peoples and planets once lived there in peace and prosperity until the Emperor seized the power of the dark side of the Force and imposed his tyranny upon them. Princess Leia leads the rebellion against the tyrannical Emperor and his henchmen.

When Darth Vader captures her, she stores information about the Empire’s plans in her droid, R2-D2, before launching him and C-3PO in an escape pod towards the desert planet Tatooine. After the two droids come into the possession of Luke Skywalker, he discovers Leia’s hidden message and sets out to find the mysterious Obi-Wan Kenobi whom the princess mentions in the recording.
