Seventeen-year-old Ainara is at a crossroads in her life. She must decide which university path to pursue. Although her family expects her to go to university, she feels that her future may lie elsewhere. While her friends experience the joys and turmoil of adolescence — falling in love, going out, and experimenting with their newfound freedoms — Ainara feels a deep pull towards the contemplative life of a cloistered nun. The choice she faces will not be easy and will upset the balance within her family.

This compelling drama by Spanish director Alauda Ruiz de Azúa won five Goya Awards this year, including Best Film. It also received the Golden Shell for Best Film, the top prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. It was also named Best Film at the 19th Mediterranean Film Festival in Split.
