Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is the new film by director Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, 2024), and another tribute to the liberating power of fantasy and the transformative power of popular culture. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Queer Palm. Critics particularly praised Schoenbrun’s original approach to the history of genre cinema and Gillian Anderson’s charismatic performance as Billy Presley.
