The film "Witnesses" was based on the motifs of the novel "Plaster Sheep" by Jurica Pavičić, inspired by a true event from 1991 when a group of Croatian soldiers committed a crime against a Serbian family.

"Witnesses" consists of three stories, each of which begins at the same moment - the moment of the murder investigation, and each gives a new view of what really happened. The film focuses on the loss of the soul in war.
