On his birthday, a well-known Croatian entrepreneur learns that he is on the brink of bankruptcy. His family arrive in his office bearing a cake and tamburitza musicians. At the same time, he receives a call from his daughter, who is studying in London. Along with her birthday wishes, she informs him that she is pregnant. The father of the child is the son of a Serbian minister.

In the style of a full-blooded Balkan anti-romcom, intertwining humour, warmth and tension, Wedding tells the story of two families whose relationship constantly teeters on the brink of both heartfelt family drama and international incident.

Wedding is the latest film from director Igor Šeregij (ZG80) and is a full-blooded Balkan anti-romantic comedy built around national prejudices and animosities. The film also boasts an excellent cast, led by Rene Bitorajac and Dragan Bjelogrlić.
